His father was born in Connecticut and his mother in New York. 1900 CENSUS: Woodruff Utah, Henry H. Cook is 41 years old, born Feb. 1859 in Utah. He said his parents were both born in Michigan (but that was wrong.) He has been married 20 years; he is a farmer and is in general merchandise. He owns his house, no mortgage, and also owns a farm, #78 on farm schedule. Janett his wife is 39, born April 1861 in Utah. She is the mother of 8 children, 7 of whom are living. Her father was born in Scotland and her mother in Canada. Children, all born in Utah, are Effie J. age 14, born Oct. 1885; Annie A. age 12, born Feb. 1889; Rowena age 10, born March of the year 1890; A son Lorin (looks like Lorain) C. age 8, born Apr 1892; Thomas C. age 6, born May 1894; Phebe I age 4, born Sept 1896; and Irvin C. age 2, born April 1898. 1910 CENSUS: Woodruff, Utah, Henry H. Cook is 51 years old, married 30 years, born in Utah. Father born in Michigan and mother born (unreadable, but could be New York, which is correct.) Genette is his wife, age 48, born in Utah. COOK STORE "Dave Lant left town with Charles Lovit, alias Charles Fergeson, and billJohnson, alias William Dalton. On August 19, 1897, the three men <u>robbed the Cook Brothers General Mercantile store at Woodruff, Utah</u>. Lant was caught and sentenced to eight years in the Utah State Prison. On October 8, 1897, Lant and three other convicts escaped from the prison, and Lant returned to the Vernal area with the fellow escapee Harry Tracy."
