Eventually Lew took over management of the store and his mother worked there for many years. Lew Bought the house on the same block as the store. His sister Charlotte Dickson used the house all winter for many years because they lived too far out for the children to go to school. The family took care of each other. Henry took care of his sister Sarah's family and Lew helped his sister Charlotte.
