Wm & Sarah Tryphena Cook born Jan 10, 1888, blessed Feb 12 by Elder R. Calder. (Garden City Ward Record of Members 1889-1894, Manuscript, Original record book Church History Library, LR 3095 7, p. 202.) In Lila Eastman’s history of her father she said she had been born in Border (“William Cook,” by Lila Eastman, in possession of Janet Porter.) However, Garden City Ward Records show Sarah came to Garden City in July of 1887. Because Eliza was blessed in Garden City, she may actually have been born there before Sarah returned to Border, Wyoming. 1900 CENSUS: Woodruff, Rich, Utah. Sarah T. Cook is the head of household. Children in the household are William L., age 14 born July 1885 in Utah; Elizabeth J.age 12, born Jan 1888 in Utah; Bertha B. age 10, born Dec. 1889 in Utah; Newel B. age 8, born April 1892 in Utah; and Charlotte B. age 5, born July 1894 in Utah.
