Thye deed is for the dwelling and half of the barn all in Washington, Litchfield Ct. which belonged to our honored father James Burgess late of Wash., signed 12 Apr 1791. (Family History Library film 6149.) HIS MOTHER'S PROBATE: Sarah Dunk Burgess (Found by Bryson C. Cook at the Litchfield County Courthouse Nov. 2010). Dated January, 1796: "We the subscribers being appointed distributors on the estate of Sarah Burgess late of Washington, deceased, have distributed the same. Heirs named, each to receive £8.13.1: James Burgess, Ebenezer Burgess, Mary Troop, Hannah Lovejoy, Irene Lemmon. Also named were grand-heirs 7 children of Jonathan and Sarah (Burgess) Churchill and the 7 children of her brother Daniel Dunk. DEATH: Loraine Cook White, Comp., Lucius A. Barbour and Lucius B.
