WASHINGTON, LITCHFIELD, CONNECTICUT Deeds for Washington, Litchfield, CT Ebenezer Burgess deed from James Burgess Jr. (his brother) The land formerly of their father James Burgess Sr. Signed by James Burgess Jr., Robert Lemon, Irene Lemon, all of Washington, Jonathan and Sarah Churchill , Benjamin and Mary Throop, Abner and Hannah Lovejoy. all of Litchfield. Thye deed is for the dwelling and half of the barn all in Washington, Litchfield Ct. which belonged to our honored father James Burgess late of Wash., signed 12 Apr 1791. HIS MOTHER'S PROBATE: Sarah Dunk Burgess (Found by Bryson C. Cook at the Litchfield County Courthouse Nov. 2010). Dated January, 1796: "We the subscribers being appointed distributors on the estate of Sarah Burgess late of Washington, deceased, have distributed the same. Heirs named, each to receive £8.13.1: James Burgess, Ebenezer Burgess, Mary Troop, Hannah Lovejoy, Irene Lemmon. Also named were grand-heirs 7 children of Jonathan and Sarah (Burgess) Churchill and the 7 children of her brother Daniel Dunk.
