Apr. 3, 1747." (Farmily History Library book 974.6 V2wL v. 3) Phineas Wolcott Cook reported there was an uncle from Canada who came to Michigan to bring a yoke of oxen to him. We know it wasn't his Churchill uncles. Perhaps it was one of the two living Burgess uncles. (Unpublished manuscript, p. 4-5 by Bessie Cook Kelsey, a daughter of Hyrum Howland Cook, reprinted in "Voices of Women," Vol I, Rhea Kunz, 1978, p. 62.) DEATH: Before 1775 when his widow remarried. CENSUS 1790: Washington, Litchfield, Connecticut, no Ezra Burgess. He would have died before his widow’s second marriage. She named her first son by her second marriage, Ezra. |
