(Barbour Collection of Vital Statistics 1:161; 2:783) Another opinion, but not documented: Md (1) Hannah Merriman, about 1690 who d. May, 1713, and (2) Elizabeth Bedell of Stratford, and d. Sept. 1725. He had five sons and nine daus. One of his sons, Moses, settled in Waterbury." "Secondly, that my son Samuell Cook shall have for his portion part in his possession and part to receive the several particles hereafter mentioned, viz. one acre of my house lott in his possession, three acres of pasture, his house lott, four acres of land at a place called Goat point, six acres over ye river, one acre at Brush plain, twelve acres over Muddy river also the lower pasture, six acres at Long Hill, forty acres of my third division, two acres of land I had of Edward Fen, a cow and a mare, he hath had this to be his full portion." "Samuel Cook d. 18 Sep 1725," which is the one referenced in Jacobus, probably because of the will which is dated that month. However, I think it could be the Samuel Cook who died at age 57y 1m on Sept 30, 1726. (JSP) Also in Families of Ancient New Haven, Vol 1, by Donald Lines Jacobus, 1923, p. 436. Ref. is Wallingford Vital Records. His will dated September 2, 1725 gave an inheritance to all of his children and his wife Elizabeth. PROBATE: His inventory amounted to 390/3/4. (New Haven Probates 5:257, proved 4 October 1725.) CHILDREN: Nathaniel Beadle’s widow Elizabeth, sister-in-law of John Merriam of Lynn. He died before Jan. 26, 1715-16. She married (2) Samuel Cooke of Wallingford. Children are: Susannah b. Nov. 13, 1695 John Beadle , under age in 1718 Eunice Beadle under age in 1718 Lois Beadle under age in 1718 Nathaniel Beadle b.
