Note | BIRTH: "Ann, daughter of Israel Cook bap. March 5, 1726/7." (Congregational Church Records of Cheshire, Ct, FHL 3998) Also in Wallingford Vital Records: Family History Library film 6052. Although it looked like 1724, I have gone with the abundant 1727 references which follow. Date is 1727 in Barbour, 1924, p. 66. (Vol 5, p. 515) Also 1727 in ""Ancestors of Robert Harry McIntire and Helen Annette McIntire," by Robert Harry McIntire, Gateway Press, Baltimore, 1980" p. 13. Also in "Families of Ancient New Haven," Vol 1, by D L. Jacobus, 1923, p. 441. Ref. is Wallingford Vital Records. Since Cheshire Church records show she was baptized 5 March 1727, it is probably right. BAPTISM: "March 5, 1726/7 I have baptized ann Daughter of Israel Cook." (Congregational Church Records of Cheshire, CT, p. 27, FHL film 3998.) Baptism also in "Families of Ancient New Haven," Vol 1, by D L. Jacobus, 1923, p. 437. Ref. is Cheshire Congregational Society. |
