Joseph Cook of Goshen (his brother) for forty pounds sold ninety acres, second tier of lott, tenth lot, to Capt. Ephraim Cook of Wallingford. Deed signed: June 23rd 1760. CHESHIRE, CT: "Taken into the church: Ephraim Cook and wife, May 9, 1725." (Congregational Church Records of Cheshire, Ct, Family History Library film 3998, p. 91.) The book "Early Wallingford" states that Ephraim stayed in Cheshire and Wallingford, as did his sons. However, some from the third generation were found in Ohio as well as Cheshire. FATHER'S WILL: Samuel Jr. John and Mary received the major portion of the estate. Finally the statement: "And for the remainder of my estate I would gladly have disposed of it in a particular way but by reason of ye difficulties I am under I will that all my dues being discharged as above said all my estate be equally divided among my other nine children in the best way that may be. The nine children are Judith, Isaac, Joseph, Hope, Israel, Mabel, Benjamin, Ephraim and Elizabeth..."
