His children and their birth dates are named here. Md. Mary HALL 30Jul 1678; Baptism: GS #183384 p. 440, Entry #21059EH; Endowment: GS #178007 .p 642, Entry #20409EH. KING PHILLIP'S WAR: Petition of the Salem Troop for Commissioned Officers in 1678 includes the names of John Cooke , Isaac Cooke, and Henry Cooke and their brother-in-law John Pudney (N.E.H.G.R., Vol 10, p. 66, "Porter Family," F.H.L. book 976 B2ne, Vol 10.) Henry and his brother Samuel were in Wallingford and Cheshire, Ct. He moved to Wallingford about 1680 ("History of Salem, Massachusetts," Vol II, by Sidney Perley, 1926, Family History Library book 974.45/S1, H2ps V. 2, p. 43.) WALLINGFORD: "Henry, son of Henry (1) was early at Wallingford. Bronson, Henry, The History of Waterbury, CT, Published by Bronson Brothers, 1858, FHL film 599,254, p. 485. The will of John Hall recorded Nov. 14, 1690 mentions Henry Cook, (his son-in-law) as possessing 11 acres in Wallingford which "was also the property of the said John Hall which is already in his possession..." obviously Henry's inheritance from his wife's father. (John Hall of Wallingford, CT, by James Shepherd, FHL film 962,776, item 4, p. 33.) That same will notes on p. 34 the mark of Henry Cook and on p. 37 the probably birth of John's daughter Mary. |

Note | The Essex Institute, 2:43: "Henry Cooke marryed to Mary Hale ye last of the 7th mo. 1678." (Hall was spelled Halle originally, so was intended to be Hall) Also documented in the will of John Hall recorded Nov. 14, 1690 mentions Henry Cook, (his son-in-law) as possessing 11 acres in Wallingford which "was also the property of the said John Hall which is already in his possession..." obviously Henry's inheritance from his wife's father.
