Note | BIRTH: "Ancestors of Robert Harry McIntire and Helen Annette McIntire," by Robert Harry McIntire, Gateway Press, Baltimore, 1980" p. 7. Birth record not found, but he was 22 in 1705. Also recorded in "Families of Ancient New Haven," Vol 1, by D L. Jacobus, 1923, p. 436. Ref. is Wallingford Vital Records. WATERBURY: "Henry son of Henry (3) was admitted an inhabitant of Waterbury in 1728." His children are then named. (Bronson, Henry, "The History of Waterbury, CT," Published by Bronson Brothers, 1858, Family History Library film 599,254, p. 485.) This seems to refer to Henry (4), but the children are for Henry (3). The date also indicates it is Henry (3) born in 1683 because if he was admitted an inhabitant in 1728 he had to be older than four years old, which was the age of Henry (4). BRANFORD: He was living in Branford, Ct in 1711 according to a land record found in the Land Deeds of Hampshire Co., Mass, Vol E, pp. 225-226 (Family History Library film 844,488): "Henry Cooke, sometime of Wallingford, now living at Branford, New Haven, Ct, for 9 pounds sold John Mattoon of said Wallingford land which is one-half of all that land which belonged to my honored father-in-law, Robert Lyman, late of Northfield, deceased and one-half of all the land belonging to my brothers John and Samuel Lyman of said Northfield, deceased, which land or lands came to me in right of Experience my wife, daughter of said Robert Lyman, deceased, as they are sciuate within the bounds of the town of said Northfield in the County of Hampshire and in the province of the Massachusetts Bay in New England." Dated 12 March 1711. witnesses: John Hall and John Cook. |

Note | Robert Lyman, "late of Northfield, deceased," was named as father-in-law of Henry Cooke, "sometime of Wallingford, now living at Branford, New Haven, Ct." (Land Deeds of Hampshire County, Mass, Vol. 3, p. 225-226 (FHL film 844,488) Date is 12 March, 1711, after the death date we have for Experience. |
Note | Boston Transcript, 24 February 1926 #3619: Mary Frost married in Branford February 13, 1710 Henry Cook. She was Widow of John Headon. Her parents John and Mercy Payne Frost. |
