"Henry Cooke, sometime of Wallingford, now living at Branford, New Haven, Ct, for 9 pounds sold John Mattoon of said Wallingford land which is one-half of all that land which belonged to my honored father-in-law, Robert Lyman, late of Northfield, deceased and one-half of all the land belonging to my brothers John and Samuel Lyman of said Northfield, deceased, which land or lands came to me in right of Experience my wife, daugher of said Robert Lyman, deceased, as they are sciuate within the bounds of the town of said Northfield in the County of Hampshire and in the province of the Massachusetts Bay in New England." Dated 12 March 1711. witnesses: John Hall and John Cook.

Robert Lyman, "late of Northfield, deceased," was named as father-in-law of Henry Cooke, "sometime of Wallingford, now living at Branford, New Haven, Ct." (Land Deeds of Hampshire County, Mass, Vol. 3, p. 225-226 (FHL film 844,488) Date is 12 March, 1711, after the death date we have for Experience.
