The date is August 8, 1776 in Genealogical Collections of the DAR, Minnesota, 1945, FHL 977.6 D2d, p. 24. No place. "In 1775 (Joel who was serving in the Revolutionary War) wished to visit his family so his father, Ebenezer, took his place and soon died of Camp Fever.
