Note | BIRTH: Date is June 5, 1785 (Genealogical Collections of the DAR, Minnesota, 1945, FHL 977.6 D2d, p. 24-25.) "The History of Waterbury, CT," by Henry Bronson, published by Bronson Brothers, 1858, FHL film 599,254, p. 486. No date or birthplace listed, but the tenth child Joel married in Bradford Co., PA which was divided off Luzerne County. The family may have moved to Pennsylvania then. In the book "Families of Ancient New Haven," Vol 1, by D L. Jacobus, 1923, p. 443. Joel Cook is noted to have died in Pottersville, PA. which is also in Bradford County.
