"Nathaniel Jocelin married Abigail Abbott March 15, 1720...dau Abigail married Nathaniel Porter." MARRIAGE: Her sister Rebecca married Nathaniel's brother John. It was noted by Miller on p. 39 she married Nathaniel Porter Jr. of Woodbury, Conn. ("Some Descendants of Robert Porter, Farmington Connecticut 1640," compiled by Margaret Porter Miller, Gateway Press, 1986. F.H.L. book 929.273, P835m, p. 39.) CHURCH RECORDS: She was baptized into the Stockbridge congregational Church July 7, 1782, also the day she and her daughter-in-law, the wife of her son Nathaniel were admitted into the church. "Mrs. Porter and her daughter-in-law, the wife of Nathaniel Porter..." (Congregational Church Records of Stockbridge, MA Admissions, (FHL 234,575, item 3, p. 9.) HER MOTHER'S PROBATE: She was not named in her mother's probate as one of the children with heirs in Connecticut. DEATH: Although she was there in 1790, she wasn't in the family on the 1800 Census. Obviously she had died by then.
Note	Barbour Collection of Woodbury Vital Records, F.H.L. book 974.6 V2wL Vol. 50, p. 213. "Nathaniel Porter of Woodbury married Abigail Joselyn of Branford." Several sources erroneously record this as a second marriage, the first being to Deborah Hurd. However, Deborah Hand, not Hurd, was the wife of his father Nathaniel, and was assigned by "The History of Woodbury, Conn" (William Cothren, 1854. F.H.L. book 974.6 H2cw, p. 669) to Nathaniel Jr. because the death date of his mother, Joanna Porter, was not known. It is now known this marriage of Nathaniel Jr. to Abigail Joslin was the first and only marriage.
