Note | BIRTH: Mentioned in Stephen Dodd, "The East Haven register : in three parts" (New Haven [Connecticut] : A.H. Maltby, 1824 ), Vol. 2, 974.67/E1 V2 . No date given. She was not listed with the family by Miller ("Some Descendants of Robert Porter, Farmington Connecticut 1640," compiled by Margaret Porter Miller, Gateway Press, 1986. F.H.L. book 929.273, P835m, p. 39.) HER MOTHER'S PROBATE: Abigail (Abbot) Joslin left a will dated January 1768, which was not proved until 1802 (New Haven District Probate, file 5909). Although the will gave everything to daughter Sarah, wife of George Landcraft, the probate file contains an undated untitled document (perhaps drawn up in 1802), listing seven Joslin children and their heirs or husbands "In Conn: Anne Jocelin m. Hastins & Gilson (Amee or Anne is written above the word Gilson.)" |

Note | He is named as the second husband of Anne Jocelin in the probate of Anne's mother, Abigail Jocelin. (Connecticut Probates #5909, 1802.) Above the word "Gilson" is written Amee, possibly a child but not confirmed. |
