Note | 1790 CENSUS, Bethlehem. He may be the son of Clamis shown as one of the sons under 16. Family records of his descendants show he was born in 1783. "Edward Frisbie of Branford and his Descendants," Vol 1, by Nora G. Frisbie, FHL book 929.273 F917fn, Vol. 1, p. 67. On page 68 it states James was the only child of Clamis who lived. He settled in Tinmouth VT. DEATH: ( "Edward Frisbie of Branford and his Descendants," Vol 1, by Nora G. Frisbie, FHL book 929.273 F917fn, Vol. 1, p. 269.) The exact date of death is published by a descendant of his son Montgomery Pike Frisbie. Buried in the Lillie Cemetery. Note: Because there were three men named James Frisbie in Poultney and Rutland, Vermont, there has been confusion about which is which. Rebecca's will in 1812 doesn't mention the son of James and Clamis because he is not her son. James of James and Clamis was buried next to his mother in Poultney. |
