Note | BIRTH: She was 78 at the time of her death in 1828. BETHLEHEM She was named in the will of her husband, James Frisbie. "I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Clamay Frisbie my house where I now dwell..." (Woodbury Probates, Vol 13, p. 69, FHL film 6176, item 2. James died at age 92 March 17, 1814 in Bethlehem.) DEATH: She moved to Poultney, Vermont after James died, and died there at the age of 78. She was buried in Poultney next to James Frisbie. Her headstone reads: "Clemma, wife of James Frisbie," which has confused some genealogists, making them believe she was the wife of her nephew. It is especially believable because she was much younger than her husband. "Edward Frisbie of Branford and his Descendants," Vol 1, by Nora G. Frisbie, FHL book 929.273 F917fn, Vol. 1, p. 64, 142. "A Clamis Darin is listed in the Genealogies as the wife of James Frisbie of Poultney, Vt., that James being the nephew of her husband James. Clamis died 28 July 1828, aged 78 and is buried in Poultney next to her nephew James, her stone reading "Clemma, wife of James Frisbie."
