Note	BIRTH: Barbour Collection of Farmington Vital Records, F.H.L. book 974.6 V2wl, V. 12, p. 310. In this record his birth is listed 14 Feb. 1690/1. That would make him 36 when he married and 20 years older than his wife. Margaret Porter Miller gives his birthdate 14 Feb 1700, baptized 2 August 1702. ("Some Descendants of Robert Porter, Farmington, CT 1640, Margaret Porter Miller, FHL book 929.273 P835m p. 3.) Since he is the only Benjamin listed in Farmington Vital Records in that generation, and would be only 8 months younger than his older sister Mary, the later date is probably true. Either way there is a problem because he is also 8 months younger than his sister Elizabeth if he was born in 1700. He was listed as the son of Thomas born in 1690 in the "Index to Vital Statistics of Farmington, Ct.," Vol LR2, p. 112. Also listed as the son of Thomas born Feb. 14, 1690/1691 in Farm. V.R. LR2:11. DEATH: Barbour Collection of Farmington Vital Records, F.H.L. book 974.6 V2wl, V. 12, p. 310, (no age stated.) My records show he was the only Benjamin living there at the time.
