Note	BIRTH: In the Ayer-Cooper-Holt Royce family research Mary Tyler is listed with the husband Francis Guiteau. Two birthplaces are given: Ipswich, Essex, Mass and Wedhampton, Wiltshire, England. (www.gencircles.com/users/holayer/1/print/1581/right) BETHLEHEM, CT Accepted as members of the Congregational Church of Bethlehem in 1740. "Francis Guitteau and Mary from Woodbury." (Bethlehem Congregtional Church Records, FHL film 3803, item 1, p.1-7) WILL: His will dated 5 June 1760 and proved 21 Oct. 1760. He names his wife Mary, sons Joshua, Francis and Ephriam, each to receive large pieces of land. Daughters are Mary Lyman, Ruth Waugh, Sarah Guitteau and Phebe Guitteau. witnesses are Ruth More, Sarah Church, Increase Moseley. (Probates of Woodbury, 5:14-17, FHL 6173.) DEATH: Bethlehem Congregational Church Records, film 3803. The record is difficult to read. It looks like Oqi, but is probably Oct. PROBATE: Joshua, Francis, Ephraim, Sarah, Phebee Guitteau, David Lyman and Mary his wife, all of Woodbury, Robert Waugh and Ruth his wife of Litchfield "being children and heirs of Mr. Francis Guitteau, late of said Woodbury, who died possessed of part of ye 11th lot of the Fifth Tier in the North Purchase of Woodbury have agreed on a division of the land..." Signed by all of them 4 Nov. 1761. (Woodbury Probates 5:104-105, FHL 6173.)
