Note | BIRTH: In the journal of Phineas Wolcott Cook he said, "My oldest sister Eliza was married to a man by the name of Salmon Case Hall of Milton Village. He was a man with a liberal education. He followed school teaching winters and summers followed painting. She had two children: a son and a daughter. they were both born the same day of the month, one year apart. The boy was named Henry and the girl Lucy." (p. 8) On her death certificate her birth was recorded: 2 February 1836 ("Michigan, Death Certificates, 1921-1952,") In the 1900 Census it is recorded February 1836. The family Stated she was born in Goshen. Family Tree records Milton, which was part of Goshen. Birth date written on tombstone: Peterson, Ann Weber, Cemetery Records: Prairie Home Cemetery, Richland Michigan.: "Lucy Spencer, Feb. 2, 1836 - 19 - -" (FHL book 977.417/R1 V8p, p. 34.) HER MOTHER'S PROBATE: Lucy Hall Spencer is named in the Probate of Eliza C. Hall, Dec. 13, 1892. (Probate Court of Rich County, Utah, 1888-1899, FHL 480,877, last item on roll, p. 37.) LAND RECORDS: Lucy and Reuben Spencer took over the farm of her grandparents Phineas and Irene Cook. The following is the record of children of Phineas and Irene signing their land to the Spencers.
