Note	BIRTH: Families of Early Guilford, Connecticut, FHL 974.67 G1 D2t, p. 598. HIS FATHER'S PROBATE: Benjamin Hand probate is in Guilford Probates, Vol. 4, 1739-1751, FHL 4354, p. 211. Sept. 4, 1744, Benjamin Hand and Nathaniel Hand are executors of the will of Benjamin Hand, Esq. of Guilford. p. 212 is the will: "My son Benjamin Hand" to receive the farm. DEATH: Families of Early Guilford, Connecticut, FHL 974.67 G1 D2t, p. 598 gives the date 7 December 1748. PROBATE: Guilford Probates, 4:485 dated Dec. 7, 1748, will of Benjamin Hand recorded “my wife Mary,” “my daughter Mary,” “my three children Mary, Huldah and Abigail Hand.” No others named.Vol. 4:276 (FHL 4354) The estate of Benjamin Hand accounted 6,359:2:9. His daughter Abigail married the son of John Norton of Guilford. Mary Norton named as executrix. His wife Mary had re-married by then.
