JAMES FRISBIE PROBATE: Page 6 is distribution to Calvin Frisbie (items and land in Bethlem bounding on Jacob Frisbie. Distribution to Benjamin Frisbie (Items and land in Bethlem bounding on his own land, Lindsleys and Calvin Frisbie. (Probates of Woodbury Vol. 1, pp. 69-72, FHL film 6176, item 2, April 4, 1814.) AMOS FRISBIE'S PROBATE Woodbury Probates, Vol. 10, p. 350, FHL 6,175, Benjamin Frisbie is son to Deacon Amos Frisbie, dec'd. Benjamin is 16 years old. John Krenber or Prenler of Bethlehem is his guardian. Dated 7 April 1812 WAR OF 1812 He served in the War of 1812, a private from Mystic, Seymour, Knapp, 24 Oct. o 15 Nov. 1814, and was a colone of militia in Madison. OHIO "Edward Frisbie of Branford and his Descendants," Vol 1, by Nora G. Frisbie, FHL book 929.273 F917fn, Vol. 1, p. 146 states, "He moved to Ohio in the fall of 1818 and purchased 160 acres of land in the forest of Madison. Appears in the 1820 census of Geauga Co., Medina Twp." He was in Woodbury as late as 1817, but settled in Ohio in 1818, the last of his brothers to leave Woodbury.
