REVOLUTIONARY WAR Served in the war from Branford, for the relief of Boston in the Lexington alarm, April, 1775, 6 days. (Connecticut Men, p. 6). He also served in the 13th Regiment of militia, 5th company, Capt, Dunning, 12 August to 14 Sept, 1776 at New York (Connecticut Men), 468.) State Regiment, Col. Enos, Capt. Peck, 1777 (p. 615). On 10 June 1781 he went to the alarm at Castleton, Vermont, two days at 1 shilling fourpence per day; travel, 2 shillings eightpence, total 5 shillings fourpence. He served with Capt. Zedediah Dewey, Major Isaac Clark (*Vermont in the Revolution, p. 376.) His father Amos and his cousins Nathaniel and Solomon served in the same regiment POULTNEY, VERMONT He was in Poultney as early as 1783. ("The Frisbee-Frisbie Genealogy: Edward Frisbye of Branford, CT, by Edward S. Frisbee, p. 62, (FHL book 929.273 F917) Actually he was there by 1781 because he enlisted in 1781 at Castleton, Vermont. Land Records: He was a grantee at Fair Haven, Vermont on 26 April 1782. Was on a committee 1801, a deacon 1802. ("Edward Frisbie of Branford and his Descendants," Vol 1, by Nora G. Frisbie, FHL book 929.273 F917fn, Vol. 1, p. 144-5.) 1800 CENSUS Poultney Vermont.
