Frisbie, p. 267, (FHL book 929.273 F917fn, Vol. 1. 1790 CENSUS He was one of the males under 16 in the 1790 Poultney Census with his father James. PROBATE Samuel received 71 acres in the settlement of his father's estate in 1797, plus half of the house and barn. He was named bondsman in the settlement of his mother's estate in 1812 and so must then have been at least 21. In that estate he received 20 acres of land in Middletown, Vermont. DEATH: He died of the "prevailing epidemic" in 1813, which the History of Poultney says was dysentery. |
