His family found in "The Town and City of Waterbury, Connecticut from the Aboriginal Period to the year 1895," Ed. by Joseph Anderson, D.D. 1896, F.H.L. book 974.67/U1 H2a, Vol 1, p. 107. This source identifies him only as "Timothy Porter (Carpenter), son of Richard." It also says he was Deacon Timothy in 1770.
