BAPTISM: Research commissioned by Genevieve Tylee Kiepura in 1950, and published in the 1955 and 1955 articles in The American Genealogist, reprinted in Unpublished typed manuscript by the Rev. LaRoy Sunderland Hand: His memoirs, his progeny and his ancestry, compiled by Edmond Hand Norris, FHL book 929.273 H191n, p. 3 "The Early Hand Family." He was heir to lands in England: In an agreement between John Hand, Jr., late of East Hampton upon Long Island and his "mother Alice Codner" dated 7 December 1663, lands at "Trumbridg and Ashford in Rootam in the County of Kent" are mentioned.
