(http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~gaylord/491.htm) The following birth for Timothy, born 1706 is for the son of Joseph, and is probably the right one: "Timothy Gailord, b. 29 Nov 1706. Durham, Middlesex, Conn. son of Joseph and Mary Gailord." ("Connecticut Births and Christenings, 1649-1906," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:F74L-JHQ, Timothy Gailord, 29 Nov 1706; citing ; Family History Library microfilm unknown.) Their children were Titus born December 24, 1749; Lois born December 22, 1751, married Samuel Bishop; Joel born May 8, 1755; Joseph born April, 1758. Lt. (Wallingford Vital Records 5:509) Barbour Collection of Wallingford Vital Records, Family History Library book 974.6 V2wL v. 48, p. 151. "Timothy Gaylord m. Prudence Roy(e)s, April 25, 1733." There were three children before Timothy died, and one born whom Timothy never saw. MARRIAGE DOCUMENTATION "Timothy Gaylord m. Phebe Cook, May 4, 1748 (VR 9:561), Barbour Collection of Wallingford Vital Records "Timothy Gaylord b. Nov. 29, 1706; m. (1) April 25, 1733, Prudence Royce; she d. Feb. 1746; (2) Phebe Wilton, who d. Goshen in 1777." (History of the Town of Goshen, by L.M. Norton, 1987, p. 451, Family History Library book 974.61/G1 H2h) p. 454.) JSP Note: The History of the Town of Goshen made numerous mistakes about this family, beginning with Samuel Cook and Phebe's father Joseph Cook. Timothy Gaylord married Phebe Cook, the daughter of Joseph and Eleanor Johnson Cook. The name Wilton is not in the original Wallingford marriage record and is a mistake.
