Note | OHIO: Joel and Lois moved near Cleveland with the Hudson colony in 1800. Others who went were David Hudson, Samuel & William Norton, Milo Lee, Timothy & Abigail Laura, Allen Gaylord, Moses Thompson, Miss Ruth Gaylord-29 souls. ("History of Goshen, FHL book 974.61/G1 H2h, p. 193-197) "Jonathan Gaylord came here in 1809 with a party of 40 of his relations. His son-in-law, William Stow and his wife Peggy were in the group. Both families have always been well known here. William Stow was a distant cousin of Joshua, who founded Stow Township. He came from the same town: Middletown, CT." (www.answers.com/topic/stow-ohio, Sept 28, 2006) I believe the three Gaylord brothers, Jonathan, Samuel and Stuart came with their cousin Joel.
