Laura Hannah, daughter of Philip and Thankful Cook, was born January 4, 1787. (The History of Goshen, CT , by Hibbard, Family History Library book 9734.61/G1 H2h p. 451.) DEATH Laura Hannah McClellan who was born January 4, 1787, died 30 October 1865 at Nassau and is buried in the Nassau Cemetery. (The Early History of Nassau Village, 1609-1830, Family History Library book 974.7 A1 #181, p. 23.) MARRIAGE Married Samuel McLellan, born in Colrain, Mass., 14 June 1787. He died in Schodack, Rensselaer, New York 8 April 1855. MARRIAGE DOCUMENTATION "Dr. Samuel McClellan was born in Colrain, Mass., 14 June 1787 and came to Chathan, NY with his parents. He began his medical practice in Nassau in 1835 and was one of the Founders of the Nassau Academy in the same year...married Laura Cook who was born 4 January 1787 and died in Schodack 30 October 1865. Dr. McClellan died in Schodack 8 April 1855 and both are buried in the Nassau Cemetery. They were the parents of five children most of whom married into local families."
