Note	This family found on Ancestral File In his mother's probate dated 17 Jul 1777, he was named, and was executor of her estate. ("Town of Farmington Probate," F.H.L. film 4,207, Vol 2, p. 111, 115, 117.) In 1779 Thomas and his brother Ebenezer moved to Tinmouth, Rutland, Vermont (A Biographical History of the County of Litchfield, F.H.L. 974.61 D3k, p. 291.) Apparently Ebenezer Jr. stayed behind for a time because he appears in census records for 1800. However, he was only 15 in 1790, so the Ebenezer on the 1790 census must be Ebenezer Sr. 1790 CENSUS: Watertown, Litchfield, Connecticut LAND RECORDS: Rutland County, Vermont, F.H.L. film 28,704,item 1, p. 376, Grantor index. Ebenezer Porter 5:157: (Ebenezer Porter of Pawlet gives to his grandson Ebenezer Jr. land in Pawlet--half his farm on Feb 4, 1800.) Grantee 5:30: (He bought for 130 LB land in Pawlet on October 6, 1796.)
