He was captured and was a prisoner in the Jetsey prison ship in New york. He was released and continued to serve. He was a physician. DEATH: A Waugh Family History, compiled by Patricia Lee Waugh, (FHL 929.273, W357 wp, p. 12) BURIAL: Footville Burying Ground at Morris CT. "Litchfield and Morris Inscriptions," by Charles T. Payne says in 1776 land was purchased from Mr. Thomas Waugh for half an acre of land south of Joseph Waugh's dwelling house for this public burying place for the town of Litchfield. It lies two miles west of Morris Meeting House and south of Bantam Lake. |
