Note	BIRTH: "A Genealogical Register of the Inhabitants of the Town of Litchfield, Conn," by George c. Woodruff, 1845, (FHL book 974.61/L1 D2w.), P. 103. Hiram J. is listed with his family, but is not given a birth date. 1810 CENSUS: Rhoda Hand lives next door to her son Guy in Litchfield. She is in the age bracket 45 and older. There are 2 other females (one 16-25 and one 16-44, obviously Sarah and Tryphena) and one male (16-25) in the household. (Hiram would have been 27 but was married in 1813 so it is probably him.) FATHER'S PROBATE: Hiram Jarvis Hand of Litchfield for $51 bought from John Allen of Litchfield part of the estate of Timothy his father and part of the dower of the widow Rhoda Hand. It was land set out to the heirs of Timothy and Rhoda Hand. 25 October 1811 (Litchfield Deeds, Vol. 26, p. 410 (FHL 4753.) GUY'S PROBATE: Hirum J. Hand and Reuben Comstock,administrators on the estate of Guy Hand of Litchfield, Deceased, sold for $1130 land to Samuel Gunn of Litchfield, land which is "a part of the landed estate of said Guy Had, late of Litchfield...5 acres in South Farms..." 19 April 1815, signed Elizabeth Tornam. (Litchfield Deeds, Vol. 27, p. 272, FHL film 4753, item 2.) LITCHFIELD Land records show he lived in Litchfield his whole life. 22:245: Moses Waugh of Washington, Litchfield CT leased to Hiram Jarous Hand of L. for 150 years from the 22 day of April 1795, land at Moose Horn Place, 10 acres. May 6, 1817, signed Nathan Burgess, Seth Beers. 26:410 Hiram Jarvis Hand (see probate) 25 Oct 1811 37:116: Hiram J. Hand and Samuel Waugh Grantee by Bethlehem Church 12 Jan. 1829. 46:265: Hirum J. and Julia B. Hand, grantor June 3, 1842. 52:185: Hiram sold to his son Frederick B.
