Children are "Cyrus, b. Oct 19, 1769; Rhoda b. April 1, 1773, Rachel, Stephen, Guy, Hiram J., Tryphena, Sarah, Levina." REVOLUTIONARY WAR Timothy Hand (wife Rhoda Bradley) b. 28 Aug. 1745, d. 1801, Pvt, CT line (D.A.R. Patriot Index, Ref 973 C42da 2003, Vol. 2, p. 1190) LITCHFIELD LAND RECORDS: Stephen Hand of Woodbury sold for 100 poinds "to my son Timothy Hand of Litchfield" 16 acres with house and barn, the south part of Litchfield a little southerly of Little Mount Tom. Nov. 6, 1770, Vol. 7, p. 240, (FHL film 4745, item 3.) FATHER's PROBATE: Sept 20, 1791, Timothy Hand is named executor for Stephen Hand. He is also named as eldest son.(Probates of Woodbury, Vol 9, 1787-1810, FHL film 6175, item 1.) 1810 CENSUS: Litchfield. Rhoda is living alone next to her son Guy. DEATH: The land of the Widow's dower of Rachel Hand was distributed in 1811, indicating both Timothy and Rhoda were dead by then. "Hiram Jarvis Hand of Litchfield for $51 bought from John Allen of Litchfield part of the estate of Timothy his father and part of the dower of the widow Rhoda Hand. It was land set out to the heirs of Timothy and Rhoda Hand. 25 October 1811." (Litchfield Deeds, Vol. 26, p. 410, FHL 4753.) PROBATE: Hiram Jarvis Hand of Litchfield for $51 bought from John Allen of Litchfield part of the estate of Timothy his father and part of the dower of the widow Rhoda Hand. It was land set out to the heirs of Timothy and Rhoda Hand. 25 October 1811 (Litchfield Deeds, Vol. 26, p. 410 (FHL 4753.) 26:380 Guy Hand of Litchfield bought land from John Allen, "a part of the estate of his father Timothy Hand, dec'd and under the incumbrance of his Mother's dower and lately let out to the heirs of the said Timothy Hand. It is 12 acres. John Allen is administrator of the estate. Oct. 23, 1811.
