This wrighting witaesseth that I Anne Bishop of Guilford, widow,being weake in body But Sound in mind and memory, Doe make this mylast will and testament in maner and forme following: First, I give untomy eldest sonne John Bishop the some of five pounds Above his equallproportion with my other Too children. Item. I give twentie shillingsunto my grand child Elezebeth Hubbard. Item. I give unto ThomasSmith, who formerly was servant to me, the some of ten shillings. Item.All the rest of my estate not before nor hereafter willed, & my mind is thatafter all my just Debts paid, legacies and all nesesary Charges be payedand discharged, shall be devided Betwixt my three children, viz., John andSteuen Bishop and James Steele. And I doe make the saide James Steele,my sonne-in-law, my full and whole Executor, to doe and performe allthings according to this my will and testament. And I doe give him fivepounds for his pains over and Above his third part of all my Estate, bothhere and in England. In witness whereof I have sett to my hand thistwelvth day of June, Ano 1673. anne X bishop.
