Also found in both Vital Records of Bethlehem, CT, FHL film 1522,005, item 1, p. 34 (age 61) and "Deaths in the Town of Bethlehem," The Connecticut Nutmegger, Vol 20 #4, March 1988, p. 751 (FHL book 974.6 D25n) "Jacob Frisbie died April 26, 1811, age 61." REVOLUTIONARY WAR "We the householders of Bethlehem do volunteer and engage to equip ourseves for the defense of our rights, etc., July 18, 1776." (Connecticut Men p. 611) Jacob Frisbie's name appears on the list. They were known as "Minute Men and Volunteers" under Capt. Holmes. This could have been Jacob Sr., but more likely Jacob Junior. ("The Frisbie Family In The Revolutionary War," by Nora G. Frisbie, p. 100.) PROBATE: In his father's probate Jacob Jun. received 2/3 or the estate and it was mentioned he had previously received by deed of gift 60 acres in Bethlehem. Jacob is named the executor of his father's estate and is witness. (Vol. 11, p. 12, Feb. 14, 1798, Probate of Jacob Frisbie, FHL film 6175, item 2.) Jacob received an inheritance of 1/3 of his uncle James Frisbie's estate (Woodbury Probates, Vol 13, p. 69, will of James Frisbie.) In that will the two living children of Jacob were named: Jacob Frisbie and Abigail Linsley, wife of Rufus Linsley. In his own will his wife Thankful is not named, but is named in the probate proceedings as the widow on March 22, 1813. The will names Lucinda, Nabby and Caroline his daughters. Signed March 25, 1811 in the presence of Aeil Bacus, Ephraim Doolittle, Solomon Linsley. Inventory taken June 18, 1811. (Woodbury Probates, Vol 12, pp. 152, 227, FHL film 6176, item 1.)
