Note | BIRTH: "History of Goshen," by Hibbard, p. 451. FAMILY: All information for this family taken from History of Goshen, by Hibbard, p. 451-452. On p. 108 he is listed as a member of the Congregational Church in 1862. He was Sgt of Co. B 19th Regt in the Civil War. CIVIL WAR: On page 351 of The History of Litchfield Col, CT, FHL 496,898, it states Moses Cook Jun. was in the 19th Regiment, Company B and enlisted August 11, 1862. DEATH: Died at camp in the Civil War at Alexandria VA. Apr 18, 1863 at 21 years of age.("History of Goshen" by Hibbard, p. 383.) The History of Litchfield Col, CT, FHL 496,898, p. 77, 86 and 349 noted he died of disease at camp during the Civil War. He is buried in Goshen, having died at age 21. |
