CHURCHILL, JOSIAH, son of Nathaniel Sen. had a son Joseph born at Middletown, and other children. This son Joseph, born about 1711 or 12, m. in 1737 Abigail White, and removed to the state of New York after some of his children were born. Daniel,his fifth child was born at Chatham, Conn. His children: 1.     Ruth m. ___White of Cherry Valley, New York 2.     Elisha d. during the Revolution without any issue. 3.     Benjamin had seven children (named on p. 596 in the book) 4.     Sarah m. Benjamin Hodge of Buffalo, New York. 5.     Daniel b. Oct. 1750 was born at Chatham, Conn. Married Eunice Saxton 1779. Removed to Richfield, N.Y. April, 1779. He had four children, named p.596 in the book) p. 596 JOSEPH CHURCHILL of Wethersfield, son of Joseph, m. Lydia Dickenson of Hatfield, Mass in 1713 JOHN CHURCHILL, son of Nathaniel Sen. of Wethersfield and Middletown, m. Bethiah Stocking June 8, 1727 and had a daughter Mary born at Middletown March 18,1727-8. He moved to Chatham and became the progenitor of the Churchills of Chatham. The captain of the steamer Promethius is of the Chatham line of the descendants of Josiah Churchill of Wethersfield.
