ROXBURY, MASS William Cornwall named in 1633 the Reverend John Elliot's book of members of his church in Roxbury, Mass, "William Cornewell" and "Joane Cornewell wife of William Cornewell." <i>(William Cornwall and his Descendants</i>, by Edward E. Cornwall, M.D., New Haven, The Tuttle Morehouse and Taylor Co., 1901.)

HARTFORD, CT Named again in 1637 as one of 77 soldiers, most of whom were from Hartford, in a campaign against the Pequot Indians. In 1639 he is in the land records of Hartford: House lot #54 in the village. <i>(William Cornwall and his Descendants</i>, by Edward E. MIDDLETOWN, CT In 1650 or 1651 he removed to Middletown<i>. </i>On February 30,1637 when land records were officially recorded, he was shown to be the owner of 903 acres at Middletown.
