Note | "Hand Sisson and Scott, More Yeoman Ancestors," by Carol C. Johnson, FHL book 929.273 H191j, p. 56. It says Hodges book claimes she was baptized in Durham, CT. On p. 113 it tells that he was a Revolutionary War Soldier and then lived at Montauk. In 1792 he emigrated to Shoreham, CT (since there is no Shoreham in CT, they probably meant New York) and died there 1811. Much information about this man, land records, family records on p. 113. On p. 152 it lists his descendants in Troy and Albany, New York for generations, although it could also be the Nathan Hand born in 1756.. |
