BIRTH: "The Town and City of Waterbury, Connecticut from the Aboriginal Period to the year 1895," Ed. by Joseph Anderson, D.D. 1896, F.H.L. book 974.67/U1 H2a, Vol 1, p. 107. His birth date was given 1792 in the book ("Ancient Burying Ground of the town of Waterbury, Connecticut," Complied by Kathryn A. Prichard, 1917, F.H.L.book 974.67/W1 V3p, p. 680.) However, I took the earlier date because his mother would have been 53 in 1792. He was a weaver and button manufacturer, the son of Timothy, Grandson of Dr. Daniel, Great-grandson of Dr. Daniel, and Great-great grandson of Daniel the bonestter of Farmington. "Timothy Hopkins was a lawyer. He removed to Cattaraugus county, N.Y., and was elected a member of congress from that district." "The Town and City of Waterbury, Connecticut from the Aboriginal Period to the year 1895," Ed. by Joseph Anderson, D.D. 1896, F.H.L. book 974.67/U1 H2a, Vol 1, p. 834.
